

Jessica is a strategic communications and public affairs professional with experience navigating the intersection of policy development, politics, media and stakeholder engagement.
With a background in general and family law, Jessica has detailed experience in drafting advice, liaising with clients, record-keeping, and file management. She has also assisted counsel and clients in meetings, mediations, and court appearances, which has given her experience on complex and sensitive matters.
As a consultant at Nexus, Jessica assists clients navigate the complex policy and regulatory environments, both within Australia and abroad. Jessica leads in the preparation of strategic plans, engagement strategies, briefing documents and landscape assessments, with strong account management principles and attention to detail.
Many of the clients Jessica supports are complex and require sophisticated strategies, careful community and stakeholder consultation and risk management. Recently, Jessica has helped guide a number of organisations through Parliamentary Inquiries and was involved in the provision of crisis management support to two of Australia’s largest service providers.
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Social Science (International Relations) from Macquarie University, where she graduated with Honours. Jessica was awarded the Macquarie Law School Prize for Academic Excellence in Animal Law, and in her final capstone placement with BaptistCare NSW, was nominated for the Judyth Sachs PACE Prize Award. These roles and experiences furthered Jessica’s passion for social justice, better access to healthcare, and women’s economic empowerment.
