Turmoil in British Parliament this week saw the deferral of the long-awaited parliamentary Brexit vote, with Prime Minister, the Right Hon Theresa May MP, citing a clear lack of support for the deal.

Following the vote deferral, Conservative MPs tabled a motion of no confidence in Ms May’s leadership. Although the Prime Minister was victorious in the swift party vote, it revealed the divisions within the party with 117 members voting against her.

Brexiters hope that further negotiations with the European Union will occur after an upcoming Brussels summit, but the future of the deal remains as convoluted as ever.

Planning for a ‘no-deal’ scenario continues to escalate.
