Led by the Northern Territory’s Chief Minister, the Hon Michael Gunner and Chair of the Darwin Major Business Group, Mr Ian Kew more than 100 Territorians came to Canberra to promote the benefits of investing in the Northern Territory.

The delegation hosted an event in the Mural Hall at Parliament House that saw more than 300 guests feast on five-star delicacies including crocodile tail sliders with paw paw and beetroot relish, ceviche Paspaley pearl meat, campfire roasted magpie goose and saltbush dukkah pies. The food was complimented by Green Ant Gin cocktails and Kakadu Plum and Dragonfruit Spritzers.

Guests were also treated to music from the very talented Indigenous singer Yirramal and live art in the form of ballerinas walking through crowd, draped in Indigenous silk scarves, Vervain crocodile accessories and Paspaley pearls.

Both the Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition addressed the bipartisan event that was proudly organised with the help of CapitalHill Advisory (yes this is shameless plug!).

The Member for Solomon, Mr Luke Gosling OAM, addressed Parliament on Thursday saying “Last night, I was very proud to co-host with Senator Nigel Scullion a bipartisan event called Facing North. I thank all those members of this House and the other place who attended. It was a very successful night, and I was very appreciative of everyone coming along, getting into the spirit of it and talking to the over 100 Territorians who flew down from Darwin and other places in the Territory to take part, promote the north and talk to parliamentarians about our vast capacity and our vast resources, a lot of which remain untapped?—?potential unfulfilled”.
