As you may be aware, the new Ministry has been sworn to office by the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), at Government House.
With their appointments announced by Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, new Ministers will begin briefings with their respective departments and agencies.
There have also been significant changes to the administrative arrangements of Government, and several Departments have been renamed. An amended Administrative Arrangements Order has been gazetted, assigning responsibility for legislation and functions to new Ministers and their Departments.
