Cathy Duncan

Biography

Cathy has worked at the Senior Executive level in the Australian Public Service and in senior levels in the private sector. She has comprehensive skills in strategy implementation, business, financial planning and people management in complex regulatory environments that she brings to Nexus and our clients.

Cathy has over 25 years’ experience working in both the public and private sectors.  In her 20-year career in the Federal Public Service, Cathy led numerous teams across both the policy development and service delivery level. She has extensive experience in the development and implementation of government policy, during extensive periods of both Labor and Coalition governments.   She has led very large customer service teams to implement government policy across all states and territories in Australia as well as working within the policy development processes in Canberra.   During her time in the public service, Cathy also developed extensive experience in public policy, change management, project management, people strategy, HR and staff development and financial management.

As Director of Operations, Cathy combines her public and private sector experience to lead our team with responsibility for overseeing all operational activities for Nexus.
