Biography

After working with numerous Federal and New South Wales State Ministers, Addison has a wealth of political and policy experience and insight, from development to delivery.

Addison is one of Australia’s leading healthcare public relations and strategic advisory professionals. Her experience covers working as a federal adviser to the former Minister for Health and former Minister for Regional Health, Communications and Sport and as an Adviser to the New South Wales Minister for Water, Property and Housing.

Within these roles, Addison was responsible for liaising with stakeholders, Department officials’ and other Ministerial offices across different jurisdictions, coordinating meeting briefs, events and logistics.

After engaging with the health and pharmaceutical industry for nearly a decade and as a strategic partner to critical organisations, which the Federal Government relied on during the COVID-19 pandemic, Addison has demonstrated herself to be a key driver to the success of Nexus APAC.

As a Director at Nexus, Addison has advised over 25 healthcare companies, associations, and patient organisations to engage with the industry and Government through Budget Submissions, Parliamentary Inquiries and department negotiations.

Addison has been a critical participant in seven PBS listings in the last two years, COVID-19 critical infrastructure, workforce and vaccine procurement projects, advised on patient continuity of care policy framework and industry association strategic agreements development and implementation.

Additionally, Addison has led Nexus’ advisory engagement on three FIRB transition and ACCC considerations throughout 2020 and 2021.

As part of the Nexus team, Addison leads our Canberra office, mentoring her fellow consultants, analysts and researcher, as they support the breadth of Nexus clients.
