With more than 25 years of experience in corporate affairs and public strategy, Nick Campbell is recognised as one of Australia’s leading corporate advisers, known for shaping high-impact strategies that connect business, policy, and public opinion. As Chairmen and CEO of Nexus APAC, Nick leads a multidisciplinary team that helps organisations navigate complex regulatory, political, and reputational environments.
Nick’s career has taken him across North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe, where he has worked with some of the world’s most respected multinational companies. His expertise spans corporate affairs, government relations, stakeholder engagement, campaigns, market access, and strategic communications. This global experience enables him to bring a broad, insightful perspective to clients facing domestic and international challenges and opportunities alike.
Before founding Nexus, Nick had held numerous roles in Australia and Asia Pacific working for multinational companies including as Executive Director of Corporate Affairs and Strategy for Johnson & Johnson. He previously served in the Federal Government during the Howard era, holding several roles including Political Adviser to the Parliamentary Secretary to the Cabinet. This experience at the centre of government gave him deep insight into the processes of policy making, legislative reform, and political decision making expertise that continues to underpin his strategic counsel with clients today.
Nick’s portfolio of work covers Healthcare, ICT, Defence, Higher Education, Energy and Complex Matters, where he has led major advocacy and reputation building campaigns and advised boards and executives on corporate positioning, stakeholder trust, and capability development. He is particularly known for his ability to integrate business objectives with broader social and policy outcomes, creating strategies that deliver measurable value and lasting impact.
